Nick Boswell formed Biketrain Wales in early 2004 to provide a motorcycle training facility in the county borough of Torfaen.
Situated just off Edlogan Way, Cwmbran, the Road Safety Resource Centre affords an ideal environment to train people to ride motorcycles. A classroom building, secure store for equipment and an extensive car park training area which can be coned off at any time to prevent unauthorised access, provides an excellent, Driving Standards Agency approved facility.
Julian Nicholls, joined the business in April 2007 and is now a full partner in Biketrain Wales, overseeing C.B.Ts.and also being qualified in Direct Access and Enhanced Rider Scheme..
Nick, Steve McCullough and Simon Incledion, are all D.A.S. qualified and take care of the “big bike” to test clients.Nick also takes care of the new Enhanced Rider Scheme. Greg Sullivan and Darren Fennel are Cardington C.B.T. qualified, whilst Tony Morgan, and Pat Maloney both hold “down trained” licenses. In short, Biketrain Wales can always provide the right instructor for your individual training requirements.
Other courses available include, “rusty rider” and “advance riding” courses tailored to the individuals needs, conducted by I.A.M. or R.O.S.P.A assessed instructors. Help and advice about choosing the right bike for you, understanding the law and riding entitlements, or supporting a candidate through a motorcycle theory test are just some of the services we are happy to provide.
We are a small business, whose first priority is to provide safe and effective training to meet individual customers requirements. You will be trained by experienced and qualified motorcycle instructors, who are enthusiastic about bikes of all shapes and sizes. Training a client on an automatic, 50cc scooter is just as important to us as 500cc for a big bike test, or an Advanced “rideout” on a large sports / touring machine - its all biking!
